Dr Gill is a highly skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in surgery of the Hip, Knee, and Shoulder. He offers arthroscopic and joint replacement procedures and treats Major Trauma, Sports Injuries, and General Orthopaedic conditions.

About Dr Gill

Dr Gill qualified as an Orthopaedic Surgeon following his completion of the Newcastle Training Program based at the Royal Newcastle, John Hunter, and Maitland Hospitals.

Dr Gill obtained his Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery with The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2005. He was appointed VMO to Hunter Area Health, and established a private practice in Newcastle in January 2005.

Since his appointment as a VMO, Dr Gill has served the area health service in such positions as Bone Bank Director, Supervisor for Unaccredited Registrars, and Chair of the Newcastle Regional Training Committee for the Australian Orthopaedic Association.

With over 19 years of constant active involvement with the trauma on call roster at the John Hunter Hospital, Dr Gill is one of the leading trauma Orthopaedic Surgeons in the Hunter Area, and he is proud to continue as a committed affiliate of Orthopaedic trauma service provided at the John Hunter Hospital.

Dr Gill treats all types of orthopaedic surgical problems, including traumatic injuries and chronic conditions. His elective surgery interests include the Hip, Knee, and Shoulder. He offers patients an extensive range of Arthroscopic and Joint Replacement procedures. 

Dr Gill operates a solo practitioner orthopaedic surgery service based at 57 Lindsay Street, Hamilton, in the centre of Hamilton, Newcastle NSW.
